Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will be receiving an official range of Overwatch LEGO products in an unexpected crossover. This partnership was earlier announced by Blizzard and LEGO in late May 2018. At this time, a release date and the specific details were kept in the locks.
Recently, LEGO opened a new page on their company website featuring the Overwatch logo with the text, “Let’s get this moving!”. Also, it was noted as “coming soon”.
LEGO is expected to release a few different building sets “across various price points”. Brick Fanatics have suggested that the line of Overwatch LEGO could be launched as early as January 2019. But further details received has suggested that the theme will launch with the new Overwatch TV series. Brick Fanatics believes that the theme will launch with six traditional mini figure sets. This will come along with a supporting range of mini figure focused packs with key accessories.
This isn’t going to be the only crossover you’ll be seeing. Nerf and Uniqlo have also inked licensing rights to Overwatch products. This means that you’ll not only be able to get a set of Overwatch LEGO. You’ll also be able to get your hands on a line of Overwatch-inspired Nerf blasters AND an apparel line too.
