MELT Gayming – Australia’s biggest queer games event!

MELT is Brisbane’s festival of queer arts and culture. This year, it’s including a new and super exciting event to this year’s lineup celebrating all things LGBTQI+ culture.
MELT Gayming is touting itself as the largest dedicated queer games event in Australia. It offers up a huge list of diverse and queer creators and developers to chat with. The event will also have expert panels on a variety of topics exploring their own personal stories through to looking at a history of queer characters in gaming. Also, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in all kinds of events both digital and tabletop.
The event will be run thanks to Queerly Represent Me, a not-for-profit research and consultation team. They’re dedicated to creating more diverse games as well as cataloguing representation in already existing games. In addition to that, they provide resources and travel to conventions all over the country to help spread their research and message of inclusion and championing diversity.

What are the event details for MELT Gayming?

The event will take place on the 29th of June at the Brisbane Powerhouse from 2 pm through to 7 pm and it will be suitable for all ages.
