Wanna play some CS:GO, make new friends at a fun LAN event and maybe even win prize money? MC Esports has you sorted for the start of February.
About the event
MC Esports is hosting the event at cost (no sponsors). It’s meant to be a cool way to give back to the community. Of course, it’s a great way to bring gamers together to have fun playing CS:GO (with some prize money to keep things competitive).
The event will be a chance for players with any level of experience to compete for the prize:
- 1st place: $600 ($500 to take home and $100 to go to charity)
- 2nd place: $150 (all take home)
The event will happen over Saturday and Sunday, the 2nd and 3rd of February.
Who can attend or participate?
The event is open to the public (woohoo!). The venue capacity caps at 50.
Not able to make it to the event in person? No worries, there will be plenty of streams to follow on MC Esports’ Twitch channels: MC_TV and MCTVb.
How to I get to the LAN event?
As I mentioned earlier, this is a Sydney event so if you’re free, you can head on down to FBI Gaming Centre – Level 1, 1 Dixon Street, Haymarket ⤵

MC Esports is focused on helping people from all different walks of life, with campaigns such as “To MC and Beyond” focusing on Mental Health and Wellbeing, MC Esports and their stream team have successfully raised over $1000 for Beyond Blue. MC have run several Mental Health focused streams with their Stream Team, including Q&As, information streams and a live podcast with Gaming and Esports professionals discussing their experiences with mental wellbeing. In line with their focus on helping people, the MC Lan prize pool will be distributed with a fraction of the champions cut donated to their charity of choice.
