Today, EA, Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm came out with a pretty big announcement regarding the recently released Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s been out for two weeks now, and in that time, it’s managed to become the fastest-selling digital launch for a Star Wars title and it managed to become EA’s top-selling Star Wars game on PC!
That’s a pretty darn big achievement when you consider the quality of some of the other Star Wars titles. “Oh,” I hear you begin, “I mean that sounds pretty cool but where’s the real achievement there?”
EA first got their hands on the Star Wars game licence in 2013, and since then there’s been a lot of different titles across different genres. Battlefront, The Old Republic, Galaxy of Heroes, and who knows what else they have in the pipeline.
Though the coolest piece of trivia is that all EA Star Wars games with a story-mode are considered canonical in the greater Star Wars universe. Which is all the more reason to go get your hands on Fallen Order to see what’s probably the biggest story-driven Star Wars game to come out in a while.
