Epic Game’s Announcement!

Epic stated that they will be supporting community organized and run events, online events and major organized competitions all over the world, where anyone can participate, and anyone can win. The Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers begin in Fall of 2018 (Spring 2018 for anyone in the southern hemisphere), and Fortnite’s First World Cup in late 2019.
The USD$100,000,000 will be split between many events at different levels of competition around the world. Most events will focus on Solo’s and Duos, but there’ll be plenty of competitions to squad-up.
The Qualifications for the Fortnite World Cup will be based on merit, meaning Epic will not be selling teams or franchises, and won’t allow third-party leagues to do so either.
The Rules, Player Code of Conduct and specifics about platforms, as well as the Fall 2018 schedule, are currently on the way!
This is going to be very excited for the Fortnite Competitive scene and will show to the world just how big Fortnite actually is and how well it will perform compared to the staple eSports such as Dota or CounterStrike.
