In this Creator Spotlight, we talk to MitchiiJohn, our latest Facebook Gaming Partner.

The Journey So Far

Born in Sydney, now based in Adelaide, MitchiiJohn played some games growing up. It wasn’t until he received an Xbox 360 as a graduation gift that his obsession with video games really began.

“Starting with Call of Duty Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2. Gaming has played a massive part in my life. Having met some lifelong friends from old COD LAN Nights!”

MitchiiJohn describes himself as a “down to earth dude, who can come across as hell dorky, but with a big heart”. Easy to get along with and can always strike up conversation topics. “if someone likes something I like we’ll pretty much be good friends straight away!”

He first discovered Twitch in 2015,

‘I was going through a bit of a hard time and finding a stream where I can relax, hang out and forget about my life problems for a few hours and have a laugh was always such a good feeling. And I thought to myself if someone’s stream can help me through this, perhaps I can help others too? ”

Creating content on Twitch since 2017, MitchiiJohn started streaming a lot of H1Z1, until the ANZ servers started to die down. It was at this time he discovered Rainbow Six Siege and the rest is history.

“At the time not a lot of Australian players/ content creators were playing the game so I decided to give it ago as was hooked! Before I knew it I somehow found myself streaming it an unhealthy amount of times a week (Still AU’s worst player, however).”

MitchiiJohn plays a variety of games, The Witcher 3 being a “masterpiece” that holds a special place in his heart. More recently Grand Theft Auto V RP (GTARP) has had a huge impact on his life, through shared experiences with people and creating memories.

When we asked MitchiiJohn what his favourite gaming moments and content creator memories were he said “I would have to say anything in GTA RP. SO many amazing moments I’ve had from playing it. I’m so glad I have clips and highlights shared from past broadcasts that I can go back on and have a laugh when I’ve needed it.”

The Future on Facebook Gaming

MitchiiJohn said, “I’m excited to try something new and take new feedback on board and hopefully work with new brands and game companies.”

“The Facebook Gaming Partnership means a lot to me. Makes me feel like I’ve achieved something that I did not think was possible for myself back when I first started creating content.”

MitchiiJohn’s primary goal is to make at least one person laugh and enjoy each piece of content he puts out on Facebook Gaming.

“For the community, it means they’ll get to see perhaps a different side of myself. As of late most of my live-streamed content is GTA RP related so with upcoming VOD content it gives me a chance to branch out more and play different games and give them something different to tune into a watch!”
