It’s a sad day for lovers of the Discord Nitro free game service as they have announced on their blog today that they will be removing all games from Nitro and will not be continuing their contract.
This will take place almost one year after the addition of the games to the paid subscription service. On October 15, 2019, Discord Nitro users will no longer have access to 100+ games that were included.
Bluntly said in a blog post, the removal comes down to the fact that barely anyone who used Nitro actually played any of the games.
To accompany the change, Discord has changed the way Nitro works with servers and for the users themselves. Along with the launch of 1080p 60fps Go Live (Discord streaming for Nitro Classing and Nitro), Discord is doubling the size of 100mb upload for Nitro $9.99 subscribers and reducing the number of boosts needed to reach Level 3 from 50 to 20!
This a great opportunity to get the benefits of a 50 nitro boost easier and quicker as well as letting smaller servers get the chance of the benefits provided with the boosts but also not letting it be too easy and accessible and still being rewarding.
For the very few lovers and players of the game, you will be delighted to know that you will still be able to play until October 15th and if you have bought any games you will still be able to play them.
