Just in case you didn’t know, Channel Fireball are headed down under to run Australia’s BIGGEST Magic the Gathering tournament, the coveted Grand Prix, in Sydney April 13th to the 15th. Thousands of players will compete in the Team Unified Modern format for a chance at cash and glory.
But that’s not all that’s on offer at a Grand Prix event. There are plenty of side events and things for all walks of the MTG life. Here’s just a TASTE of the awesome that’s in store!
Looking to play Constructed on your schedule? Don’t want to commit to a 3-round event? No problem – come on down to Turbo Town and battle!
Turbo Town is the place to be if you want to play a one-on-one constructed match. For just $5, you can sign up for whatever constructed format you have a deck for, whether that’s Standard, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, Canadian Highlander, Artist Constructed, or something even wackier!
Once someone else comes along and signs up for the same format, you’ll be paired up for a match. The winner of the match will receive 30 Prize Tix. Don’t worry – you still get 10 Prize Tix if you lose.
Once the match ends, that’s it – you can go experience other parts of the Grand Prix if you want, but if you want to stay in Turbo Town and play a few more matches, we’ll be happy to help you find your next opponent!

Ever wanted to match wits with one of the best players in the world? Well, now you can! On Friday afternoon, the featured personalities will be accepting challengers. Bring a Constructed deck and get ready to battle – if you manage to win, you’ll receive an extra prize. No entry fee is required for Spellslinging; just get in the queue, and when your time comes, make sure to bring your A-game! AND MEET SOME REALLY COOL CONTENT CREATORS!
Bounty Event

On Friday evening, CFB will be hosting a Bounty Event, a three-round Sealed Deck Event where you can win Prize Tix and foil promo cards based on your record. Some of the CFB personalities and guests will be entering the event as well, so they’ve put a bounty out on them! If you get paired with one of them and you win the match, you’ll receive extra Prize Tix to commemorate your victory.
