Ashland University of Ohio’s head coach Josh Buchanan, have announced they are currently recruiting America’s best Fortnite players to play for Ashland University and is currently offering a $40,000 scholarship for their players.
Ashland University has also become the first University to add Fortnite eSports. Hopefully we will be able to see more Schools, University’s and Colleges creating their own Fortnite teams to compete in School based tournaments.

With the universities growing eSports roster, they are beginning to construct an eSports arena in the school library, with construction starting later this month.
The Fortnite players will join the line of eSport’s the University currently plays for, including; League of Legends, Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Rocket League.
