With the holidays approaching, Stardock Entertainment wanted to give their Star Control: Origins community; the gift of violence with the FREE Reinforcements DLC we put out today. Nearly doubling the number of playable vessels for the Fleet Battles mode; Reinforcements will allow players to experience additional depth when putting their fleets together for combat.
Each new vessel has a unique weapon loadout and a sleek new design. All of the new ships are available for multiplayer and competitive play and have been carefully balanced for an equal and fun gameplay experience for all players.
In addition to the free DLC, a v1.3 update also released today. The update adds new features in order to entice additional exploration during the main game; including uncovering rumours of a Scryve superweapon, improved controls on the main Vindicator ship; and powerful new weapons waiting to be discovered. New weapons have also been added to the crafting menu; including the Fragmentation Missile, Rapid Laser, and more.
