Minecraft’s popularity has absolutely skyrocketed recently, and there seems to be no sight of it stopping. Microsoft has announced during their Minecon Live last night the release of Minecraft Dungeons, “An all-new action-adventure game, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers!”
“When a lonely, outcast Illager stumbles upon a mysterious object with terrifying powers, his entire existence is turned upside down. Before long, he finds himself on a path of evil, causing mayhem across the Overworld. Who can stop him?”
The announcement has revealed Dungeons as a new Minecraft themed standalone that has been inspired by dungeon crawlers such as Diablo and will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass in winter 2020! Minecraft Dungeons is also the first stand-alone game developed by Mojang, so it will be exciting to see how it performs compared to Minecraft!
Creepers are mean, green and full of nitroglycerin – perfect for hurling towards the enemy! Early on, we experimented with the ability to throw them, but soon scrapped the idea. Any guesses why? pic.twitter.com/m5XDzrkGVY
