What’s happening at IEM Sydney

IEM Sydney is well underway with the top teams from all around the world competing in the longest running pro gaming tour. Held in the new Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park this year’s IEM will witness 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams battle it out for a grand prize of $250,000 USD.

Matches

Over the three days, 16 teams will face off for a spot in the Grand Finals on Sunday. With two brackets running each day the 16 teams will soon be cut down to just two who will go on to face off for the prize pool and Intel Extreme Masters 2018 title.

Booths

Tech companies and sponsors have lined up outside the arena and in the Community Area to support IEM and showcase the newest gaming hardware.
Acer has set up a Predator Lair. Gaming enthusiasts will get the chance to try out the newest line of Predator gaming notebooks, desktops and displays. The Predator Orion 9000, Predator Helios 300, Predator X34 monitor and other top of the line hardware from Acer will be on display.


HyperX will be hosting the Renegades and Cloud9 at their booth all weekend. Fans are able to come and personally meet the teams and get autographs. Along with some of the biggest teams at IEM popping by the HyperX booth, there will be on site discounts for peripherals and merchandise over the weekend. The newest headset from HyperX – Cloud Stinger Core will be exclusively available at the booth in limited qualities.
As expected with all tech sponsored booths, fans will be able to compete in small games for prizes. These booths include HyperX, Acer, Omen and HP all weekend. Fortnite, PUBG, Street Fighter V and more are available to play at these booths. You can try out some of the best PCs and gear available too.
