Singtel unveils dedicated ultra-fast broadband for gamers

Singtel service bundled with Razer’s new high-performance gaming router worth S$409.90

Singtel today unveiled an ultrafast broadband service, called 1+1 Gbps Fibre Pro Gamer Bundle, specially designed for online gaming. The service comes bundled exclusively with the newly launched Razer Sila gaming router worth S$409.90; and subscription to WTFast Gamer Private Network service; which enables gamers to automatically link to the fastest gaming servers.
Priced at S$69.90 per month on a 24-month contract; the 1+1 Gbps Fibre Pro Gamer Bundle is available to Singtel’s new and recontracting customers. This broadband service features a dual network that comprises; a 1Gbps dedicated bandwidth for gaming and another 1Gbps bandwidth for regular Internet usage.
Singtel customers will be the first in Asia to get the Razer Sila; a high-performance router designed and optimised for gaming that allows gamers; to access multiple data channels to ensure a reliable and lag-free performance. The broadband bundle will also give customers access to WTFast Gamer Private Network service; which lowers latency and improves the gaming experience; by automatically selecting an optimised connection to gaming servers.

The dedicated bundle for online gamers will be launched tomorrow; at the opening day of Singtel’s inaugural PVP Esports Championship in Suntec City. The three-day event will see top teams from Australia, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand compete; in mobile game Arena of Valor and PC game Dota 2 for a total prize pool of US$300,000. Singtel has identified esports as a growth area; as it seeks to build digital businesses across its footprint in the Asia Pacific region.
