Following NVIDIA’s announcement of their newest drivers which allows G-Sync to be used on Adaptive-Sync monitors, MSI monitors are now G-Sync Compatible.
What actually is G-Sync?
G-Sync is an adaptive-sync technology developed by NVIDIA to eliminate tearing, flickering and stuttering on monitors to enhance your experience while playing games.
What does this mean?
With the newest release of NVIDIA Graphic drivers, G-Sync can now be used on monitors that support Adaptive-Sync technology when they are connected to an NVIDIA graphics card. At the moment, not all Adaptive-Sync monitors on the market are entirely G-Sync Compatible. MSI, on the other hand, has been constantly testing Adaptive-Sync monitors to determine if they are G-Sync Compatible.
Thanks to MSI, we can see the results that have collected during their testing. Here are the results and the technical stuff!:

Graphics cards used for compatibility testing:
- RTX 2070 Ventus 8G
- RTX 2080 Ventus 8G
- GTX 1080 Gaming 8G
Minimum System Requirements for G-Sync Compatible:
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA 10 series (pascal) or newer
- VGA driver version should be later than 417.71
- Display Port 1.2 (or above) cable
- Windows 10
Unfortunately, at the moment only a single display is currently supported. This means that multiple monitors can be connected but no more than one display can be G-SYNC Compatible.
