In an interview with The Xbox Two, Mike Ybarra from Xbox talks about Mixer, Microsoft’s livestreaming service and competitor to popular streaming platform Twitch. The two hosts eventually brought up the topic of the recently announced Xbox One X, which is slated for release in early November.
Upon being asked the Xbox One X, Mike Ybarra apologized for the frustration customers have been experiencing with pre-orders:
You know it’s great to see the excitement from people. I know there’s frustration about pre-orders. Apologize for that. As Phil said on Twitter, he said soon and really that’s all I can say about that.
The tweet that Mike Ybarra was referring to was this reply from Head of Xbox Phil Spencer who helped clarify the console release date and squash any rumours about delays:
Still on track for November 7th. Feeling good about that date.
