It’s been an incredible year at LPL in 2018.
From the February launch of their brand new esports studio in Auckland’s Sky Tower to executing over 65 successful broadcasts by December; they’d like to thank each and every viewer who tuned in to LPL content and helped to make the year the achievement it was.
LPL’s broadcasting line-up included two seasons of the CS:GO ANZ Invitational; NBA2K18 1on1 Championship, Project Cars 2 NZ Championship, Dragon Ball Fighter Z Arcade Reborn Tour; High School League & its Holiday Cup, and the Tekken 7 Esports World Championship Qualifier. They’re also proud to have participated in several on-site esports activations; such as the PlayStation Plus Friendlies Tournament at Armageddon Expo 2018 and the Driven Racing Championship at Big Boys Toys.
LPL accomplished 65 successful broadcasts throughout 2018 including The Night Squad, HSL, LPL PRO and one-off partnerships such as the NRL Fortnite Lunchtime Friendlies. They’ve reached over 1.5 million views on Twitch and 150,000+ New Zealand audience members, with over 157 hours’ worth of broadcasted content.
In 2019, LPL looks to continue on with its successes made this year. They’re excited to announce that they will be broadcasting live on SKY SPORT every Thursday evening at 8pm, starting from February 14th 2019 and continuing throughout the year on a weekly basis. As always, their broadcasts can also be viewed on Twitch.
This weekly time slot will be home to their upcoming LPL Pro CS:GO, DOTA 2, and Project CARS 2 tournaments. Monday nights will also be a key date for LPL, broadcasting 2019’s High School League – also on SKY SPORT. They also have more exciting titles and tournaments to announce in the coming months.
