Legacy Esports Enters into Overwatch

Maintaining their reputation as one of Oceania’s premier esports organizations, Legacy once again has set foot into new territory by acquiring the roster previously known as “Stunner meal with caramel sundae”.
Qualifying for the soon to begin Overwatch ANZ Contenders in the sixth seed, the newly formed roster features one of two females in the league. Strawbella will once again represent the Legacy jersey since competing under the OPL team.

Thoughts from Legacy Esports

Here is what Legacy’s Head of Esports Tim Wendel had to say on the recent acquisition:

Blizzard are trying a unique approach to esports with Overwatch and it’ll be really interesting to see how it develops in 2018. We are determined to have teams compete at the very highest level in all esports and I believe that this group of players, with Strawbella at their head, shows incredible promise that we can foster during this Contenders season.

– Tim Wendel, Head of Esports, Legacy

Ecstatic to be joining such a continentally renowned organization, here is what captain Isabella ‘Straawbella’ Chan has said about becoming a part of the Legacy family:

I am very excited to be back at Legacy and I feel my responsibility as captain is to see that my team achieves their goals whilst becoming not only better players, but better people. Having previous experience within the Legacy environment, I have no doubt they will guide us in the right direction.
– Isabella ‘Straawbella’ Chan, Team Captain

Looking forward to more Oceania action

Once again, we are seeing strength in the organizations and backing as a part of a Blizzard league. Hopefully, we will see more news coming from the other brands that represent the top talent in Oceania.
The ANZ Overwatch Contenders is just around the corner!
