Epic announces the Fortnite Emote Royale Contest!

Epic Games has announced that they’re partnering up with Musically successor, TikTok to bring you the Fortnite #EmoteRoyaleContest!
The competition will allow for players of Fortnite to have ‘your best moves immortalized in Fortnite’. Players will be required to download the TikTok app and take a video of their original dance move and share using the hashtag. The winner will have their dance become an Emote as well as 25,000 V-Bucks, which is around $275AUD of in-game currency as well as a Fortnite VIP giveaway!
The contest begins on the 18th of January at 12AM PST and will run until the 24th of January, 11:59PM PST
Fortnite community creators/streamers Pokimane and Jordan Fisher have posted their take on the competition, with their own in-game emotes!

This isn’t the first time Epic has announced a user-submitted emote contest. Back in 2018 Epic announced the #BoogieDown contest, in which controversially the Orange-Justice kid did not win, but his emote was later added, and then his mum sued Epic games. Weird turn of events for sure.
