Jack “Jakattack” Gifford
On the back of a sublime performance at the HCT Sydney Tour Stop, Jakattack has spent the majority of 2018 proving to the wider community why he is one of the best. Currently taking on the Global Games competition representing New Zealand, he has his eyes set on the round of 16 to put New Zealand on the global stage. To continue the trend of representing New Zealand across the globe, Jakattack’s first official competition for Breakaway Esports will be the HCT Tour Stop in Oslo.
“Following the success of the worldwide investment into esports, I’m excited to see that New Zealand is following suit. I had a lot of team offers following my success at HCT Sydney, but Breakaway Esports was the first one to jump off the page as a real opportunity to play some competitive Hearthstone on the global stage. I’m ecstatic to join the team and am confident this will elevate me to the next level.”

To further round out the Breakaway roster; DanBanter will be representing the team again on a global stage and heading up the team’s FGC roster. Recently qualifying for the IESF World Championship to represent the E-Blacks in Taiwan; DanBanter has shown he’s got what it takes to dominate the competition domestically. To kick off his global career; DanBanter will be repping the Breakaway colours from The Mixup in Lyon, France in early September.
“I’ve been looking for the right home for a while now; and Breakaway Esports is the perfect fit for me as a player. I’m excited to have the opportunity to wear the team colours on a global stage; and show the world what I’ve got”

We’re thrilled to welcome these two talented competitors to our roster; and we look forward to what the 2018 and 2019 season brings. This is only the beginning in our vision for making Breakaway Esports a global force in competitive gaming.
“When scouting talent to join our roster; Jack and Daniel were instantly players that we wanted to join our Breakaway family. We’re ecstatic that they’re on board with both the team and our vision for Breakaway Esports; and can’t wait to elevate them to a new level of success.”
