As information and gossip continues to swirl about the yet confirmed remastered edition of Warcraft 3, Blizzard has released a new patch to the 16 year old RTS.
The update that has since been launched to the game’s PTR makes balance adjustments to many of the games heroes and adds both widescreen and 24-player game support. To check out the full details of the PTR version, you can see the patch notes on the Battle.Net forums here.
Alongside the patch, Blizzard has announced their first ever Warcraft 3 Invitational, which has been locked in to play on the 27th and 28th of February. This will feature most if not all of the world’s most recognised and proven competitor on the latest game patch, live from the developers headquarters in Irvine, California. To catch all of the information about the Invitational, see the Blizzard post here.
After a fantastic response from both the core and wider community after the launch of Starcraft 2 Remastered, it can expected to see the same for the more than decade old title, the only question now is when.
