L.A. Noire is coming to four new platforms on Nov 14

L.A. Noire was originally released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011. 6 years later, Rockstar Games is bringing the game back in all its glory to the latest platforms.
It’s been a while since L.A. Noire was first released but I remember it being one of the first full Let’s Plays I ever watched. The story is set in 1940s Los Angeles and follows Detective Phelps as he uncovers the mysteries surrounding several local cases. Film noir heavily influences the game and it’s very exciting to see this style comeback with a game refresh.

Some L.A. Noire background

At the time, L.A. Noire was known for its brilliant MoCap performances as each character involved in the story was portrayed by real actors. Other than being brilliant to watch, the carefully captured facial expressions are essential to the gameplay. As you interview different characters, you must carefully decide whether they’re telling the truth or if they have some other motive.
L.A. Noire is an amazing game and most importantly, the game was developed locally in Sydney, Australia by Team Bondi.

The new platforms L.A. Noire is coming to

It’s exciting to hear that L.A. Noire will be coming to the following platforms:

  • HTC Vive: L.A. Noire has been rebuilt for a full virtual reality experience. With the game already being so immersive, VR should add another level of immersion.
  • Nintendo Switch: The original game and all DLC will be available on the Switch. As you can expect, you’ll be able to use a Joy-Con mode as well as the touchscreen inputs when playing L.A. Noire on the Switch
  • Xbox One + PS4: L.A. Noire has been visually remastered for Xbox and PS4. Because of 4K gaming consoles, the game will even be available in full 4K on the PS4 Pro and the recently released Xbox One X.
